Ingredients for making batter:
1. Soaked rice - half kg
2. Cooked rice - 1 cup
3. Black gram / urad dal - 100gm
4. Salt - as required
5. Water - as required
Ingredients for making paddu:
1. Onion - 1 finely chopped
2. Coriander leaves - half cup
3. Dill leaves - half cup
4. Green chilli - one finely chopped

Steps of making batter:
1. In a large vessel soak half kg rice, one cup of cooked rice and 100gm of urad dal for at least 5 hours.
2. Next in a big jar add soak rice, cook rice, urad dal and one spoon of salt and grind till its smooth.
3. Take this ground mixture in a vessel and add water as required to the batter and leave it for overnight.
4. Next whenever you use the batter to cook before one hour adds the soda and use after one hour for cooking. so the batter raises.

Steps of making paddu:
1. First, heat the paddu tawa and apply oil on each block.
2. In the batter add 1 finely chopped onion, half cup of coriander leaves, half cup dill leaves and one green chilli finely chopped. mix it well.
3. Then put this batter on tawa and put oil on the top cover it with the plate and let it cook for 2 minutes.
4. When they are cooked from one side slip it over and cook from another side for 2 minutes.
5. When they are cook take it out in a plate and serve it with coconut chutney.
