HOMEMADE CHICKEN SHAWARMA RECIPE:
Chicken shawarma in the home is not difficult to make as complicated its look. So I tried this recipe in home and it is so simple to make without the use of very complicated ingredients. In this recipe, shawarma is made without pita bread and tahini sauce. Do try this shawarma recipe as it's easy to make and taste the delicates of Arabic cuisine.so let's get started the homemade shawarma recipe with homemade chapattis.

HOMEMADE SIMPLE CHICKEN SHAWARMA RECIPE.

Ingredients for marination of chicken:

1. Boneless chicken - 1/2 kg 
2. Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tsp
3. Ready-made Chicken curry masala - 4 tsp
4. Chilli powder - 1 Tsp
5. Haldi - 1/2 Tsp
6. Salt - to taste
7. Hung curd - 2 Tsp
8. Lemon - 2 tsp

Ingredients for grilling chicken:

1. Onion - 1 finely cube
2. Tomato - 1 finely cube by taking out its seeds
3. Capsicum - 1 finely cube by taking out its seeds
4. Oil - 2 Tsp

Ingredients for salad :

1. Onion - 1 finely chopped
2. Tomato - 1 finely chopped
3. Cucumber - 1 cup finely chopped
4. Carrot - 1/2 cup grated
5. Hung curd - 1/2 cup
6. Salt - to taste
7. Lemon juice - 2 Tsp
8. Coriander leaves - 2 tsp

Ingredients for shawarma wrap:

1. Chapattis - 8 either maidas chapatti or whole wheat chapattis.

Methods for marination of chicken:
1. Take the boneless chicken and cut it into thin pieces.

2. Add ginger and garlic paste, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder mix it well.

3. Then next add ready-made chicken curry masala, hung curd mix it properly.

4. In last squeeze half lemon in chicken and mix it gently and place it in the fridge for at least 2 hrs.

Methods of grilling chicken:
1. Place the pan on high flame put 2 tsp oil, put chicken pieces separately without crowding.

2. Flip them to all sides for even cooking.

3. When the chicken is evenly cooked and grilled properly take it in a plate.

4. Then cut the chicken in very small pieces. And keep it aside.

5. Then in the same pan put oil and saute onion capsicum and tomato on very high flame for 3 to 4 minutes.

6. In last add this in chicken.




Methods of making salad spread:
1. Take a bowl put cucumber, tomato, onion and grated carrot mix it.

2. Then add salt as required and add hung curd mix it well.

3. Then in last add the coriander leaves and squeeze the lemon in it and mix it well keep it aside.



Methods of wrapping the shawarma:
1. Take chapatti, in between put the salad spread.

2. Then next put the chicken shawarma mixture in above the salad.

3. Then next fold the one end of chapatti and then roll the chapatti tightly so as the filling doesn't fall.

4. The shawarma is ready to serve. Serve it while it's hot.
