In this recipe, I am not going to use the sauces instead of that I am using chicken and sambar masala. Since I am a south Indian I have seen this recipe a street vendor making and I just love the taste of that. Gobi Manchurian | Cabbage Manchurian Recipe:
Ingredients for Manchurian balls:
1. Cabbage - 2 cup grated
2. Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tsp
3. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
4. Salt - to taste
5. Corn flour - 2 tsp
6. Red food colour - 1 pinch
7. Maida - 1 cup
8. Water - 1 cup
9. Oil - to deep fry
Ingredients for sauce:
1. Water - 1 cup
2. Chicken masala - 1 tsp
3. Sambar masala - 1tsp
4. Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
5. Corn flour - 1 tsp
6. Onion - 1 finely chopped
7. Capsicum - half finely chopped
8. Oil - 2 spoon
9. Coriander leaves - 2 tsp
Gobi Manchurian | Cabbage Manchurian Recipe:
Steps of making Manchurian balls:
1. In a large mixing bowl combine the grated cabbage with red chilli powder, salt, ginger and garlic paste, cornflour, red food colour and maida.
2. Add water as required in the dry mixture to make it like batter. The batter should not be so watery and it should not even be as a doe. Its consistency should be as shown in the below photo.
3. In the large Kadai, heat oil and make the mixture in the small balls with the help of your hand. Fry the Manchurian balls in batches over medium flame till they are golden brown, crispy and cook from both the sides.
Steps of making a sauce for Manchurian:
1. First, make a mixture of spices. In a bowl add 1 cup of water, chicken masala, sambar masala, tomato ketchup and cornflour mix it well and keep it aside.
2. Heat the pan over medium flame, pour 2 tsp of oil in the pan and next add onion and capsicum. Cook for 2 to 3 Minutes till they are sauteed.
3. Next, add the prepared mixture in it and cook till it becomes thick.
4. When the sauce becomes thick add Manchurian balls and mix it well and add coriander leaves in it.
5. The Gobi Manchurian is ready to eat. Garnish it with onion and coriander leaves and tomato ketchup. serve while it's hot.
