Papdi chaat is a popular chaat from Mumbai. It is tangy, sweet, sour and spicy chaat with crispy papdis. It is very simple and easy to make. The two chutneys which are commonly used in this are green chutney and sweet chutney. Green chutney made out of fresh coriander, mint, green chilli and garlic. Sweet chutney is date and tamarind chutney which is sweet. Since I have posted both these chutneys on my blog so do check it out. So Papdi chaat recipe at home with step by step photos.

Papdi Chaat Recipe At Home | Typical Home Style Food:
Ingredients for making papdi:
1. Maida - 1 cup
2. Salt - to taste
3. Ajwain - 1/4 tsp
4. Oil - 1tsp
5. Water - as required

Ingredients for making papdi chaat:
1. Papdi - 10
2. Potato - boiled and mashed
3. Onion - finely chopped
4. Green chutney - to taste
5. Sweet chutney - to taste
6. Curd - 1 cup curd mixed with 1 tsp sugar
7. Chat masala - a pinch
8. Coriander leaves - finely chopped
9. Sev

Steps of making papdi:
1. Add maida, oil, ajwain and salt in a bowl. Mix well, then add water as required and make a stiff dough. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.

2. Roll the dough to a thin sheet. Then cut small circles using a lid cover. Then make holes with a fork to avoid puffing up while frying.

3.heat oil and add this and deep fry u till its golden brown on both sides. And take it in a plate.



Steps of making Papdi Chaat:
1. In a plate arrange the papdi. And put the boiled and mashed potato on it.

2. Then put the green chutney and sweet chutney as you like and taste.

3. Then put the sweet curd over it.

4. Then add onion and pinch of chat masala over every papdi. And sprinkle the coriander leaves.

5. Then in the last sprinkle with the lot of sev and serve it.
